Trenton Water Plant
Trenton's city owned water utility is a
coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, rapid mix, sand filter, fluoridation, chlorination, lime softening, and recarbonation system.
The treatment plant capacity will produce 4.5 mgd. with a reservoir capacity of 200 mg.
The plants daily consumption is 1.8 mg. The plant serves 2,964 customers, plus producing
water for rural water districts.

Distribution
Trenton's award winning wastewater plant
is an extended aeration activated sludge plant. The 2.7 mg
mechanically aerated basin is designed to withstand shock loading as well as a normal high
demand load. Following the aeration basin are two final clarifiers with a capacity of
145,000 gallons each. The plant also includes two 384,000 gallon aerobic digesters.
